High quality honey, naturally
Quality means everything to us at Tahi. The UMF™ (Unique Mānuka Factor) trademark is your guarantee that our honey is authentic New Zealand Mānuka Honey, containing all of the raw, natural properties that make Mānuka Honey sought after all around the world.
All of our honeys are free from gluten, Glyphosate* and GMO and are third-party accredited to prove it. We don’t believe in overheating or pasteurising our honey, nor do we add sugar, water or chemicals. That way, you know you’re getting pure, natural, high-quality honey in every jar.
*Based on government limit of detection protocols and default Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs), which are usually 10 parts per billion (ppb) for all pesticides.
Authentic, traceable, tested
To ensure you can trust that every jar is authentic New Zealand Mānuka honey, Tahi independently test in a certified laboratory for the unique Mānuka “markers” as defined by the New Zealand Government's Ministry for Primary Industries.
All Tahi Mānuka honeys carry the UMF™ rating (you’ll find it on the label), giving you independent assurance that our honey is authentic, fresh, pure and potent.
Certifications
Tahi is a member of the UMF™ Honey Association (UMFHA). The UMFHA trademark is the most comprehensive, independently-certified quality assurance system for New Zealand Mānuka honey. It certifies that the UMF™ grade, along with other compounds, have been independently tested. Our honey is also fully traceable, from our hives to your hands. License Number: UMFHA No. 2035
Understanding UMF™ / MGO gradings
Authentic New Zealand Mānuka Honey contains over 2,300 unique components, which contribute to its complex flavour and remarkable benefits. Not surprisingly, no other honey in the world undergoes such rigorous testing as New Zealand Mānuka Honey.
This includes the UMF™ Association's Four Factor Quality Assurance Test, which independently validates the potency, authenticity, freshness and purity of genuine Mānuka Honey and summarises them in a single figure (the UMF™ grading).
